Activate Your Jacket Tags

Thanks to all the families who have chosen to participate in the Lost Property tag trial.

To those who have already collected their items don’t forget to activate your Smart Tag/s, by sending an SMS of each unique code to the phone number listed on the tag (0458 899 000)

If you missed out on dropping off your jackets on Friday morning, tags are still available from the Uniform Shop and Library for parents to sew onto their own items.

New Phone System

The telephone system at Subiaco Primary School has been upgraded.  This has resulted in our phone number being changed.

Effective immediately, the new phone number is 9207 7900.  A redirection service will be in place for 18 months.

Re-Direction Service:  Telstra is currently experiencing problems with the re-direction.  If you phone the old number you will only hear an automated voice saying the new phone number twice (very slowly!).  Stay on the line as your call will be re-directed eventually.

Pre-Primary:  parents of Pre-primary children must now phone the new number to contact their classroom (see exception).

Exception:  LP Pre-primary (Mrs Gaunt / Mrs Thornett) is not connected to the new system and their original phone number will remain the same – 9381 3825.

RagTagd – Smart Tags For Finding Lost Property

The Uniform Shop is excited to announce that over the Winter period (commencing Week 2 of Term 3), our school will be completing a three month trial with RagTagd, a young start-up company that helps parents find lost property at school.  Finally a way to help locate your child’s missing jacket!

How it works
Whenever your Smart Tagged garment reaches the lost property area, you will be notified via an automated SMS (text message) letting you know that it’s there – making retrieval quick and easy.  In fact, collection is so simple that 90% of families using RagTagd at other schools retrieve their lost property within a day of receiving an SMS.

How parents can take part
1) Free Smart Tags will be available (Term 3) from the uniform shop to sew into jackets you already own.

2) Activate your Smart Tag, by sending an SMS of your phone number, to ensure you receive notifications.

3) If notified, arrange collection of item from the lost property area.

What others say
RagTagd is up and running at 70 large schools in NSW and QLD

If You Have Problems!

Some people have reported that they received an error message when trying to download the SchoolBuzz app from the Apple AppStore:

It appears that updating your iPhone/iPad to the 6.1 version (or above) of iOS fixes this problem, i.e. update to the 6.1 (or above) version and then try downloading SchoolBuzz again. In the meantime the app developer is working on the issue.

To update to the latest version of iOS do the following:

  • go into Settings
  • click on General
  • click on Software Update
  • follow the instructions if an iOS is available
