At Subiaco, we embrace diversity and cultural responsiveness. Our school caters for students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds who are learning Standard Australian English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EALD). Within the classroom, there is a sharp focus on oral language skills and related literacy skills to support student development. Our EALD students are monitored and assessed using the EALD progress maps.
The Subiaco Primary School community values the opportunity to build positive relationships with families who are new to our school. The whole school extends a warm welcome to our EALD students and their families.
